Aqueous 2023

The 2023 WVWS national juried exhibition, Aqueous 2023, held its opening reception Friday, May 19, 2023, at the Chuck Mathena Center in Princeton, W.Va.. At the reception, awards where announced, with F. Dennis Clarke earning Best of Show for "Oysters." About the Juror

Our juror, Nancy Stark, hails from Roanoke, VA and holds signature memberships in 9 watercolor societies, including the National Watercolor Society and the American Watercolor Society. Her work has been published in many magazines (Watercolor Artist and Watercolor Magazine), books, and can also be found in many private collections and public spaces. Her particular genre includes trains, collages, and high contrast in subjects which also shows strong cast shadows.
